Godliness

• Redemption – Cultivate a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ as God’s Son and indeed God himself; manifest a personal bond with Jesus Christ and express God’s rescue scheme for humanity. (John 3:16)
• Individuality/Diversity – Display assurance in one’s identity in Jesus Christ and welcome the diversity amongst all followers of Jesus Christ within the universal church. (Philippians 2:2)
• Vocation – Enhance comprehension of one’s purpose and inspire others to follow God’s purpose for their lives. (Jeremiah 29:11)
• Assurance – Show certainty and tranquility in one’s redemption due to the eternal life offered through Jesus Christ. (John 10:28-29)
• Scripture Reading/Recollection – Acknowledge and justify the reality that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the sole authoritative, divine, infallible Word of God, and is the ultimate standard in faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16-17) Regularly practice spiritual disciplines and wise life decisions based on Biblical teachings, while urging others to follow suit.
• Administration – Display prudent administration of God’s creation and resources. (Psalm 24:1-10) Employ God’s creation and resources properly for the enhancement of others to foster character, responsibility, piousness, and economy.
• Christ-centered Biblical Perspective – Own a nuanced appreciation and knowledge of God’s creation; understand one’s role within that creation; and perceive the world through this Christ-focused viewpoint. (Genesis 1:28) Effectively convey and defend a Christ-centered Biblical perspective of God, mankind, and the world to others.
• Community Church – Grasp the significance of the local and global church. (Matthew 28:16-20; I Corinthians 12) Pledge to be an engaged church member and exemplify a Great Commission lifestyle characterized by seeking relationships with spiritual mentors and consciously contributing to the lives of others.
• Fruit of the Spirit – Comprehend the following facts:
  • The Holy Spirit is a being and is God, possessing all divine characteristics.
  • The Holy Spirit inhabits, baptizes, and seals all believers at their redemption and fills them following their confession of sin and submission. (John 14:17; John 16:7-8)
  • The Holy Spirit works in the lives of the followers of Jesus Christ to produce the fruit of the spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23)
• Divine Will and Career Planning – Show self-restraint by applying biblical principles and norms in all conduct areas. (Colossians 3:23) Foster an understanding of his/her spiritual gifts and those of others to fulfill God’s plan for his/her life.
• Others-oriented – Effectively apply God-given abilities for a life of Christian service using his/her time, talents, and treasures to improve others’ lives. (1 Peter 4:10)

Citizenship

• Respect for authority – Show, through attitudes and actions, a readiness to adhere to the moral, ethical, and legal mandates of lawful authorities. (Romans 13:1)
• Support for authority through good deeds – Participate in school and community activities that offer a positive service to others. Display affection and respect for fellow citizens and the nation. (Romans 13:3; 8-11)
• Fulfillment of personal financial and legal obligations – Show, through attitudes and actions, a readiness to support the civil government through taxes and civil and/or military service. (Romans 13:6-8)
• Honor and value for citizens who have sacrificed for the United States – Show patriotism and respect for the nation by standing for the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag and the national anthem to honor those who have served the nation.
